Mário Forjaz Secca é Professor de Biofísica na Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologias da Universidade Nova de Lisboa e Físico Médico no Hospital Garcia d’Orta e na clínica de Ressonância Magnética de Caselas. B.Sc em Física com Matemática pela Universidade de Sussex, Inglaterra, doutoramento na mesma Universidade em Física do Estado Sólido especialidade Baixas Temperaturas. É membro de várias sociedades científicas, nomeadamente da Sociedade Portuguesa de Engenharia Biomédica da qual é presidente, entre outras. 

Desde criança queria ser um cientista e acabou por ser!

Começou por ser Físico, se tornou Físico Médico e a seguir Engenheiro Biomédico. Tem um importante papel em investigações na área da Imagiologia de Ressonância Magnética em Medicina.

Tem sido convidado para participar como Keynote Speaker frequentemente e desta forma participou em Conferências na Itália, Jordânia, Moçambique, Portugal, Espanha e USA.

Mário Forjaz Secca is a Professor of Biophysics at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologias da Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Medical Physicist at Hospital Garcia d’Orta and at the Magnetic Resonance Imaging clinic of Caselas. He has a bachelorette in Physics with Mathematics from the University of Sussex , England, as well as a PhD in Physics of  Solid Matter specialty Low Temperatures. He is a member of several scientific societies, such as the Portuguese Society of Biomedical Engineering, of which he is president, amongst others. Since he was in high school he wanted to be a scientist. I ended up being one!

Started as a pure Physicist, then became a Medical Physicist and a Biomedical Engineer. Has an important role in researches in the area of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Medicine.

Have being invited to participate as keynote Speaker frequently and he recently have taken part as a Speaker at Conferences in Italy, Jordan, Mozambique, Portugal, Spain and USA.
